After assessing my personality and seeing my strengths and weaknesses, I took it upon myself to try and turn those weaknesses around in order to become a more well rounded person." Chris FinnieCEO Alumni 1997, MWSR staff member for 6 years; 3 years on Senior Leadership. "The four weeks that I spent as a CEO at Muskoka Woods were hands down the best 4 weeks of my life. The friendships that I made, and experiences that I had will be carried with me for as long as I live. Being a part of the CEO program has truly changed my life. The lessons that we learned really do apply to everyday living and I find myself recalling my experiences from CEO on a daily basis. Not only did I walk away from the program obtaining a closeness to many friends I made, but also found a new level of closeness to both myself and God. Being there for those four weeks and getting to see more of what Muskoka Woods is really about brought me deeper into my faith than I ever knew possible. I look back at all the laughs, smiles, and tears that I shared with so many throughout CEO and thank God for giving me such an opportunity." Paul GirardiCEO Alumni 2003, MWSR staff member for 2 years; 1 year on Senior Leadership. "The CEO program doesn't just impact your summer, it impacts your life. The four weeks I spent at Muskoka Woods for the CEO program were unforgettable. The friendships made, the many memories, the lessons learned and the experiences are all priceless. I learned in those four weeks, more about myself then I thought possible. The modules taught us how to communicate and work with different people - these techniques still help me today. The program taught me a great deal about leadership, setting and achieving goals and the importance of working in a team." Victoria WappelCEO Alumni 2002, MWSR staff member for 3 years; 1 year on Senior Leadership. "My decision to apply to, and participate in the CEO program opened up incredible opportunities to get involved with MWSR on a leadership level. One of the most beneficial things for me was getting a glimpse of life at MWSR through assisting with instructing and co-counselling... little did I know that I would become a Section Head of J2 just 4 summers later! I learned so much about my strengths and weaknesses as a leader and was encouraged to strive toward achieving my goals and seeking the best in myself and my team. The CEO program is the most valuable program at MWSR in my opinion, as it TRULY offers a life-changing experience!!" Jodi EtheringtonCEO Alumni 1998, MWSR staff member for 5 years; 2 years on Senior Leadership. "When I think CEO, I think of two words - "Out Trip". It's amazing how fast a total stranger can become your best friend. It was a great way to start the best four weeks of my life!" Stephanie BrownCEO Alumni 2003 "After a four-day canoe trip in Algonquin Park with 16 people who were complete strangers on the outset of the trip, became some of my closest friends today. After completion of the trip if felt as if I had known them my entire life. The out trip forced the CEO team to discuss each others strengths and weaknesses and how each person in the team had something to contribute be it through cooking, loading canoes, or steering rapids, etc. Working amongst Muskoka Woods Staff is also an amazing feeling. Helping kids develop athletically and being a role model of sound Christian values is so uplifting. Every night as a CEO, you have a feeling that you made at least one child's stay SWEET, either by helping at their skills, or providing competition in a game. CEO was easily my most enjoyable experience at MWSR!" Brendan HallCEO Alumni 2002 MWSR staff member for 2 years ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
